August digest

That's the way it is. US open started and I am also getting started tomorrow. Not to Arthur Ashe stadium but to my home for a week's break for Ganesh Chaturthi. We are not having an off here for the festival, I wonder why? It's one of those few festivals which should be celebrated in all parts of India. Rather than keeping up the three posts per month count, I don't have much to post here coz nothing exciting is kicking in my life. Not in your life either.

People are thinking twice to shift their companies considering the slowdown in the US market. That's been always the case. If someone in US is affected with cold, we will be taking the medicine praying for a speedy recovery for that bloke. Don't dig your bird brain so deep if you do not understand my terrific, soon to be recognized by Oxford Dictionary- simile. This year everyone is happy with whatever peanuts they have. For a change, that's good to see people contented with their things rather than having a wild goose chase after everything. Job seekers - my whole hearted good luck fellas.

I got affected with cold and it's been a week I guess. For the past three days I was feeling better though it's only one - one half of my nostrils which are under function than the normal two. Traces of fever came and I think they are gone, though with some travelling to do in the weekend, anything is possible. That's an attempt to draw some sympathy from you unsympathetic - pathetic freaks for crying out loud.

I can understand you almost feel the same to what you've read in the pic. If you don't feel that way, I would feel that way when I hear your story. Not always I blabber whatever here should be written in red and painted in blue, coz you never have a semblance of clue. Before my kicks are any due, it's better if I say I shall see you.

Megastar Chiranjeevi is entering into politics

Normally I am not film crazy freak but yesterday was one incident when I felt relieved to see someone trying to bring a change in the politics and none other Megastar is suited for the job. Hence this post. Default liner that can be written in red : Every telugu person has to like Chiranjeevi for what he has shown and how he has entertained us on the silver screen at some stage in his life. If he doesn't, then that person has a serious defect in his cranium that has to be rectified.

The news is finally out of the bag and Megastar Chiranjeevi is entering into politics. Yesterday there was a press meet in his party office and it kicked off with a bang. The entire state was glued to the Tv sets by 3 p.m to see the meet. Only TV crew and reporters were allowed for the meet and the hall was packed to the maximum.

Chiranjeevi started off the speech by confirming that he is entering into politics and cited couple of reasons for his entry. Cameras started flashing and a little turn of his head resulted in atleast 20 flashes. He stated that he went on to meet Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam few times and during one meet, the man Chiru respects the most, went on to say that " You should enter politics. I am not saying this because you are a movie star but as a person I know you are good at heart". That's one incident which cleared the suspicion that he had over politics.

Another incident that moved Chiru quite deeply was when an IT professional wrote in his letter moments before his death that, he could not vote for Chiranjeevi and he could not see Chiranjeevi as a politician. This is one incident that made Chiru determined to enter into politics.

After that Chiru was telling how the four people who were there as a background poster on the podium on which Megastar was standing, have influenced him. They were Dr. Ambedkar, Bapu ji, Mother Teresa and an other eminent personality. Chiru is particularly an ardent follower of Mother Teresa's principles. After finishing his uninterrupted speech for about 15 minutes, he let the press to fire their questions.

Chiru answered every question patiently and courteously giving a chance to most of the reporters. He did not try to avoid any question. Questions regarding the party flag, it's name and it's ideologies will be revealed in the Mega meet that will be held at Tirupati on August 26, which also is the birthday of Mother Teresa.

Chiranjeevi answered almost all the questions with ease. He was very comfortable and confident while tackling the media. He was little formal in answering them. Had he shown his tinge of comedy, the crowd would have been spellbound. Below are few questions from the plethora questions that were targeted at him.

Reporter: Do you support leftism or rightism?
Chiru :I support humanism.

Reporter: What do you do when you come to politics? How are you going to do any better than others?
Chiru : I may not do different things to what others are currently doing but I will definitely do things in a different way where the result of which should be felt down to the poor.

Reporter: Do you stop acting in movies?
Chiru : It's very heartbreaking to say that I want to stop acting in movies. If there is any awareness type of movie and would be useful to the society, I would definitely do it.

Reporter: From where would you like to contest in the elections?
Chiru : I am free to contest from any place in the state. People wanted to me to join politics and I am here because of them. I do not have any problem contesting from any place.

The last question he finished off on a high note.

Reporter: What do you know about politics so that you have a right to enter into it?
Chiru : I don't know about politics. But I can understand the pain of the poor. When I established blood bank I don't even know how many blood groups are there. But when a person whose relative was survived with the timely supply of blood, that gave me immense satisfaction which neither of my movies could give when they went to become all time hits. I will try to make sure that the poor are really looked after.

To sum it up, he said in one of the lines, till now I've acted in various roles. I've received your appreciation, I've got money, I've got name. I am NOT entering into politics for name, fame and wealth. I've all of them in some quantity. I could act in movies but in politics, I don't have a chance to act. I have to live in it. From now on, my life will be dedicated to the welfare of the poor and the well being of the society. Jai hind !

Chiru posed in front of the four people as the background and stretched his hands wide smiling. He showed thumbs up and that should convey the message to every freaking politician on the circuit.

Birthday babble

Though a bit late, still its worth to describe by latest birthday. If you freaks don't know, which I know you don't know, it was on August the fantastic fourth. I don't remember when I cut a cake the last time. Probably it could be in my previous birth or may be when I was unable to talk kid. So I cut a cake in my room and a surprise cake in my office as well, which was organised by my room mate who also works with me. It's a good feeling especially who experienced the draught of cake cutting in his miserable life time. A better birthday's to remember than the previous one, sure no ?

A stage was reached in my life where I felt.....

But when I eventually did the honors, I expected people to feast on the delicious chocolate cake in the office, just like this.

But they controlled their taste buds. For freaking what?

Infact birthday's never been special or if it were, I don't know if they were. This is a part of my ongoing series of psychobabbles which you would be hearing. May be I don't want to kill you by describing what I've done from the moment I got up. Sounds awfully weird. So I kept the description short, that is, if you felt that way.

One more project is down the drain and it's incessant rain in the morning, which is making me think twice whether to attend the tennis practice or not. That Sportingo thing that I've blabbered in my previous post was like a shock like spike in the arm that made me register and post couple of articles on tennis. Infact, there was a free bag on offer for those who contribute in the month of July. I'd be lying if I posted there without any malicious intentions.

From the beginning of August it has been a repeated dosage of slaps on the back of my head, just above the neck and below the convex bulge, from stocks. Daddy says, law of averages is taking it's effect. You can make losses or you can recover from your losses till you stay on level ground. But it's definitely not easy to make profits so huge that you can afford a space trip for few hours.

August 15th is coming up next week and everyone is planning for a long weekend. I am also planning - to stay home. Because I am not going out, I am scaring the heck out of my friends who reveal that they are going out for vacation, by saying, you have to face the brunt of traffic jams and frisking by Police if you are travelling by road into Delhi. If you cannot do it, scare others the heck out of it. In that way you attain some consolation by seeing the fear in the person's face which would satisfy your undiminishable tonnes of ego.

After one year of constant fighting to stop the clock from ticking, I've recently become one year younger and there is a little portion in me, which pops out inopportunely and says uninhibitedly, "I'm 18 till I die".

July wrap up

It's been sometime since I posted my last post. Reason is: secret. Okay, there is no secret. I don't know why people get excited and frustrated at the same time when some doesn't reveal a secret. Do you always reveal your secrets? If you do, then it's no more a secret. What am I upto ?

That's the effect of not posting for weeks. I started playing tennis with an uncle ( read grandfather or senior citizen ). July has been bad with my tennis. It was raining only in between 6 - 8 am which was not allowing me to the stadium. How can we play when the courts are wet? I have to explain freaking everything to you.

And boy about the Uncle, with due respect, he movies incredibly well on the court and he looks beyond 63 to start with his age. He might have played the game before but at this age moving as good as a youngster or even better, with good anticipation and no glasses, hats off to him and his fitness. Everyone who saw him play were surprised at his movement and the flawless game. I had the privilege to play with him for 3 days continuously and I lost all the 5 sets that I played with him with the same score. 6 - 0 into 5. I have a niggle in my arm and my shoulder after 15 minutes of play. He said I should work on my serve because the point begins with a correct serve. My serve hardly crosses the net and if it crosses it lands miles away from the deuce court. So he is patient and is trying to improve my game. Perhaps time to raise my concentration level to its best and work on my game before he loses his cool. If I do not improve, I might lose the privilege. I still was puzzled and excited to play with him the first time. During one of the conversations, he said, he worked in the army. That should make me listen to whatever he says on the court or else I should be ready to face the brunt of a rusted double barrel gun.

Apart from this, I started writing tennis articles in a website called, Sportingo. I do not know how long my intensity to post my articles there would continue, but it's a fan based website for any sport, where your postings will be edited by professional editors before it gets published on the main page. My intensity would last till I get a job as a freelance writer for tennis columns for any online paper. There is nothing wrong in wishing things. If they fall fine, if they don't fall don't expect a windfall any soon. Below is a picture of your corroded damaged metal skull. I am showing yours to you. Just like that.

Are you afraid or what? Not always I should be sweet. I think I am slowly learning the tricks of trade in stocks after three months of pocket burning and brain damaging. Daddy says, making profits is not tough, but making losses is easy. So if you can minimise the loss on a daily basis, that itself will increase your profit margin. Of course, to see results one needs to be consistent and it has to observed over a period of time. It's only in July where I can put my metal head high and walk in stocks. And that's just one month.

Spanish bull tames the Swiss cow

That was the Wimbledon 2008 final between Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. People already started calling the fight as Rafa vs Roger instead of saying it the other way round. The reason being, Rafa's meteoric rise on the green turf. He won the customary Stella Artois championship in tune up to Wimbledon and he lived up to his expectations by knocking out Roger in a fiercely fought 5 setter, with the Spaniard prevailing 6-4,6-4,6-7,6-7,9-7 in the longest final ever played on the Wimbledon lawns.

When Rafa won the first two sets by breaking Roger in each of the sets, few were dismayed and many expected that it would be straight set win for Rafa. It could have well been that had it not been for a late order resurgence from Roger. Many anticipated that it would be a close match but the newspapers would have said, "Rafa stunned Roger at Wimbledon", had he won the last year final. It's no more a surprise victory for Rafa. It is much awaited and much needed shift that is needed at the top to keep the game interesting. It was not Roger who choked this time, it's Rafa who held his nerve all through the match despite the momentum shift to Roger in the fifth set.

Roger was expecting Rafa to falter in the last set, which happened many a time against other players. With the French Open thrashing that Rafa delivered to Roger, under his belt, he left his mind unperturbed leaving the daemons to sit pretty in Roger's head as the match wore on. Rafa was ready to play even for an hour on the same day or ready for an other 5 setter the next day. It was Roger who was getting tired and was praying for some fortune. But the man from Mallorca kept his nerves under wraps and allowed the Swiss master to crumble under pressure. If at any point of time that you felt that Roger was not upto the mark, then you should be digging a hole right where you are sitting. No doubt he made uncharacteristic unforced errors, but the resilience he had shown to come back from two sets to love down and take the final set all the way to the brink, shows why he is such a complete player with an ability to pull a shot that was never seen. When was the last time you've seen Roger two sets to love down and playing a tie break in the third to stay in the match? Roger was a tad slower than his 2007 performance but that hardly mattered. It was Rafa who has grown leaps and bounds as compared to his last year's performance that sealed the deal.

It's not the end of the road for Roger, by any means. His game is still good enough to beat top ten players on the circuit. Upcoming season is the hard court one which is to Roger's liking. Djokovic, Tsonga, Murray are other players to watch for. Many are writing Rafa off on the hard court season atleast this year but I am not. He just has shown everyone that he can not only be a clay court specialist but also a good grass court player. He is the second best grass court player to start things with. Roger's ranking will depend on how deep Rafa can extend his hard court season this year. Should Rafa's knees hold up, it won't be a surprise if these two R's meet in the finals at Flushing Meadows.

Nevertheless, July 6th was a day that I had been waiting for two years and finally the warrior has come in the form of Rafael Nadal. It's a welcome sight for many to see the tables shift at the top of men's tennis world. Game is getting stale and becoming one-dimensional with Roger's artistic play and 4 years of absolute dominance is a little too long for anyone's comfort. Roger Federer has finally shown that he too is mortal. Rafa has shown that he is absolutely brutal. Atleast the tennis will now be played on earth to give other players a sniff of Grandslam victory rather than being played on totally different planet where the Swiss cow and the Spanish bull have owned and grazed on it for quite a while.

Pink ladies

Right then, its one more shot to test my typing skills to check at what speed I type and wrap up this terrr...rrrrific, mind kickling awesome post. Read a blog today from labnol.org, a place where Indian bloggers gather to share their views and rants. It's very easy to rant with a pant than to face a banter with no supplant. By now you must have understood not to take some words and phrases as per the Vatican Bible. My own phrases do still try to hold a meaning with a rhyme even though it's not worth a dime.

So to start a rant today, I am getting flustered with the colour pink. Girls like it so much so that they try to match their hair bands to socks with that meterosexual color for men. Marketers are trying to promote their products for women laced with pink. Pink ipods, pink bags, pink lipstick, pink shoes, pink wallets , I think I haven't yet encountered a laptop. When do they come out of their pink shell? I am seeing it like crazy in metros here and ladies think it's uber cool to sport a pink something. They finally have got a colour in this male chavunistic (they like to use the word so much) world, to flash to which they have no bounds. To me ladies, Pink is a huge turn off. So don't try to sport your girliness and bubbliness with it. If you want to take revenge on me for that carefully planned first date wear a perfect shiny pink dress. That should settle the deal.

I am having this blast of a time posting nothings for reasons unknown here. Few people start to write blogs with an intention to change the world. Their ideas which were unheard of, will be spitted on this web space. Revolution will be their motto. I like to laugh on the floor rolling at that freaking idea. After getting couple of posts out of their system, cold water is poured on their revolution and they look for other means of attaining their motto which they never attain. More often, they get busy and utter, I don't have time for blogging man. Wake up man, if you don't have time to write your neighbour doesn't have the time to read. So relax and take it easy.

Above is the picture that says, WTF is happening in your miserable life? Good thing here is I can talk like a retard and yet there would be no comments which gives me a feeling that whatever I am talking is right. Awesome ! I find many ladies blog designed in out and out pink, which sucks. No, I am not letting them sleep with pink dreams. I am after them and haunt them as their pink devil till they get repulsive to it. I think I am not done with my pink rant yet, which may resurface when I see a pink chipset in my CPU. I like one nice phrase which I use often when I stammer for words in a presentation which is given in italics. So ladies, are you with me ?

I got up early

I am setting aside 30 mins now for this blog. After correction, re-reading and posting the picture it would take me beyond 45 minutes. Before I click submit, I'll try to ensure that there would be no spelling mistakes and see to it that the picture was adjusted correctly. In between I take breaks to give sometime to think as to what I should be scribbling here. With my average English skills, sometimes those pauses can be as long as a goods train and the flow of thoughts would be as slow as a passenger train. After I see it on the homepage, I read it again and if there are glaring grammatical mistakes or punctuation marks, I'll take the pain to correct it and publish the post again. Now you know it's just not scribbling something with whatever key that comes to your finger. You freaks read it and say, phew, disgusting and close the window ruthlessly.

I came early to the office today. I started to go to the tennis practice. It began to rain after travelling for few minutes in rickshaw. I told him to turn back to my home immediately. Three days of no tennis practice and I am itching to bitch the ball. Not every phrase you see should be published in Oxford dictionary. Too long a gap results in considerable loss of interest, be it a game or a girl. Daddy always wants things to churn and turn quickly in his favour. Rarely things would turn the way and the time he wanted it to.

As a part of my show off process, I bought a Samsung 26 inch LCD TV. It can get delivered anytime today or tomorrow. It's flat, black and thin. It is a simpler version of HDTV. It would have been nicer had the TV got thinner borders. Below is a picture for you freaks.

You can click on the link above to see it's specifications and can decide yourself. I liked it when I saw it first up.

If you are accustomed to sleep atleast 7 hours a day and you get up early even by half an hour before your scheduled sleep limit, you would feel drowsy the whole day wherever you are working. I managed this post in just over 30 minutes this time, including the corrections. How great would it be if I could manage everything that's been thrown at me in time? Lunch.
